Joint HIV and TB Key Affected Population Consultation Meeting – Luzon (December 13-16 2022)
The Joint HIV and TB Key Affected Population Consultation Meeting – Luzon took place from December 13 to 16, 2022, and the PCCM Key Affected Population Committee (KAP) has invited TBpeople Philippines Organization Inc. to attend. The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria has authorized the Philippine Country Coordination Mechanism (PCCM), a national multi-sectoral organization made up of members from the public and private sectors as well as development organizations, to coordinate and monitor grant operations. With the assistance of the Stop TB Partnership Challenge Facility for Civil Society, the PCCM is currently preparing to submit a proposal for HIV, TB, and malaria in March 2023. They make sure that the key affected populations for HIV/AIDS, TB, and malaria are meaningfully engaged in the proposal development process (CFCS).
PCCM’s Key Affected Population (KAP) Committee is proud to invite TBpeople Philippines Organization Inc. to join their consultation meeting this December 2022 in Luzon. This event will be a great opportunity for the organization to provide valuable input about HIV and TB key affected populations, which can help shape the future of the Global Fund programs. TBpeople Philippines Organization Inc. has been working hard on behalf of key affected populations since its inception, providing vital health education and services related to TB. It would be greatly beneficial to have an organization like this at the KAP committee consultation as they bring an invaluable perspective to the table. The PCCM team hopes that TBpeople Philippines Organization Inc. will join them at the upcoming consultation meeting. By attending, TBpeople Philippines Organization Inc. will be able to share their unique perspective with the KAP Committee. This would allow PCCM to make more informed decisions that have been created through collaboration with a key affected population organization such as this one. The knowledge shared in the meeting could also benefit other organizations and initiatives in their own work on behalf of key populations. Everyone involved stands to gain from the experience by learning new strategies, hearing different perspectives, and finding ways to improve the health outcomes for vulnerable people living with HIV/AIDS, TB, and Malaria. This December 2022 KAP committee consultation is an important opportunity for TBpeople Philippines Organization Inc., so please consider joining.
