TBpeople Philippines Embarks on Courtesy Call to Tagaytay and Cavite Regional Health Units
TBpeople Philippines recently embarked on a strategic visit to the Regional Health Units (RHU) in Tagaytay and Cavite. The purpose of this visit was to introduce TBpeople Philippines, elucidate its mission, and share the various impactful projects and initiatives they have been implementing across the nation.
The journey began in Tagaytay City, where the TBpeople Philippines team received a warm welcome from the RHU TB coordinator. This introductory meeting laid the groundwork for fruitful discussions about the organization’s mission and its ongoing efforts to combat tuberculosis (TB) throughout the country.
Next, the team proceeded to the Regional Health Unit in Amadeo Municipality. Here, they were greeted by Chief Doctor, Dr. Melinda Villanueva, and TB Coordinator, Ms. Pauline Laisa. The meeting provided an excellent platform for exchanging insights and discussing the tailored approaches TBpeople Philippines has adopted to address the TB challenge effectively.
In Silang Municipality, known for its Super Health Center, the TBpeople Philippines team was welcomed on behalf of Mayor Alston Anarna by Vice Mayor Ted Carranza and TB Coordinator Mr. James Lee F. Ambojia, RN. The discussions here were particularly engaging, focusing on potential collaborative projects and the role of local government units in enhancing TB control measures.
The final leg of the journey took the team to the Regional Health Unit in Indang Municipality. Here, RHU Chief Doctors Dr. Rosa Alegre and Dr. Rommel Vicedo extended a warm welcome. The meeting was marked by in-depth discussions on the successes and challenges of TBpeople Philippines’ initiatives and exploring avenues for future cooperation.
Throughout their journey, the TBpeople Philippines team emphasized the importance of community engagement, local partnerships, and sustained efforts to combat tuberculosis.
