We had an amazing meet and greet with the Philippine Blind Union, discussing shared goals of accessibility, inclusive education and empowerment for the blind community. Meeting was hosted by Benetech a nonprofit social enterprise organization that empowers communities with software for social good.

It was an inspiring exchange of ideas, and we’re excited to continue working together towards a more inclusive future.

CCM first regular meeting

TBPeople Philippines is proud to attend the 1st Quarter Philippine Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) Meeting today, February 12, 2025, presided by our Secretary of Health Doctor Ted Herbosa at the Manila Grand Opera Hotel.

Doc Ted Herbosa stressed the negative impact on relying on international funding. With the U.S. governments’ announcement on pausing the delivery of health services and programs the secretary believes that domestic funding should be strengthened now.

Had an amazing and productive time with our Roche partners, training on the Cobas® modular analyzer series! Discovering the multi disease testing capacity of the Cobas 5800 and its Rifampicin and Isoniazid resistance capability which makes diagnosing faster. This continued learning strengthens our confidence as TB survivors, empowering us to keep fighting against TB.

TBPeople Philippines had the opportunity to visit one of the facilities using the Roche Cobas 5800, and it became clear on the number of patients testing TB positive, including those with Rifampicin and Isoniazid resistance, is a stark reality.…

TBPeople Philippines proudly participates in the Validation Meeting on the Rapid GEDSI (Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion) Assessment of the HIV Response.’ a UNITAIDS project. TBpeople’s participation on this project is a big step towards the GEDSI focus for Tuberculosis programs as well.

After the LIFT-TB operational research concluded, TBpeople joined the regional site visits to check the enabling environment for the proper implementation for the newly signed DRTB BPaL regimen. Philippines set its foot in our 3rd location. Our Country’s Capital; Manila City.
