Largest Human Lung Formation in the Philippines Sets Sights on Guinness Book of World Records

TBpeople Philippines is deeply grateful for the opportunity to be part of a truly historic event—an event that has achieved a Guinness World Record and brought immense pride to the Philippines and the Department of Health (Philippines). This phenomenal accomplishment, known as the Largest Human Lung Formation, stands as a testament to the united efforts and commitment of all involved.

The moment that truly embodied the spirit of this nationwide mission occurred on March 16, 2024, at the prestigious Quirino Grand Stand in Manila. The event became a powerful symbol of unity, bringing together internationally recognized health leaders to achieve something truly exceptional. Surpassing even the record-breaking efforts of India, the Philippines succeeded in creating the largest human lung formation ever witnessed within its borders.

This historic accomplishment would not have been possible without one of the indispensable contributions of TBpeople Philippines. Their consistent determination and key role in executing the event have earned their recognition. During the gathering, one member of TBpeople Philippines Mr. Joegene Mangilaya from Tupi, South Cotabato a dedicated TB advocate of TBpeople Philippines Inc., stood shoulder to shoulder with honored health ministers, parliaments, experts, and other notable figures who have made a commitment to the fight against TB. This pledge symbolized an unbreakable unity and resolve to conquer this formidable disease.

As a nation facing the immense challenge of being the 4th highest burden of TB cases globally, the Philippines has set its sights on a driven goal—to eliminate TB by 2035. This dedication to eradicating TB is motivated by a strong desire to foster a Healthy Pilipinas, ensuring that accessible healthcare is available to all citizens.

As we celebrate this crowning achievement, it is important that we remain firm in our mission. Together, let us strive for a future where the health and well-being of our fellow citizens are safeguarded, and where accessible healthcare is a cornerstone of our society. The fight against TB necessitates continuous collaboration, heightened awareness, and constant support from all corners of our nation. Only through our collective efforts can we truly build a healthier future for all.
