TBpeople Philippines Meets with Navotas City Officials to Strengthen TB Advocacy

TBpeople Philippines had the distinct honor of conducting a courtesy call with Navotas City Mayor John Rey Tiangco and City Administrator Dr. Christia Padolina. This meeting marked a meaningful milestone in the ongoing fight against tuberculosis (TB) in the region.

TBpeople Philippines expressed their profound gratitude to Mayor Tiangco for his supportive video message for the “Fast Track The Cure” campaign. This campaign is an initiative aimed at accelerating the efforts to eradicate TB, and Mayor Tiangco’s unyielding commitment strengthens the importance of local government support in public health initiatives.

During this meeting, TBpeople Philippines proudly introduced the TBpeople Philippines Discipleship Navotas City Chapter. This new chapter consists of a dedicated group of TB survivors who are passionately committed to becoming effective advocates. Their primary goal is to establish a healthy TB patient support network within the Navotas community. By sharing their experiences and knowledge, these survivors aim to enhance TB awareness, improve prevention measures, and ensure better care for those affected by the disease.

Mayor Tiangco and Dr. Padolina expressed their wholehearted support for TBpeople Philippines’ advocacy efforts. They acknowledged the role that community-driven initiatives play in combating TB and improving public health. Their partnership and encouragement are invaluable as TBpeople Philippines works tirelessly to eliminate TB and enhance the quality of life for those impacted by the disease.

The collaboration between TBpeople Philippines and the Navotas City government represents a notable step towards a healthier, TB-free community. Together, they are poised to make a lasting and meaningful impact on the community’s health and well-being.
