TBPeople Philippines Engages with Municipality of Santa Rita, Pampanga to Strengthen TB Advocacy
TBPeople Philippines conducted a successful courtesy call with the Municipality of Santa Rita, Pampanga, led by Hon. Engr. Arthur L. Salalila. The meeting served as a platform to introduce TBPeople Philippines’ mission and vision in the fight against tuberculosis (TB) and to discuss plans for establishing a local association and patient support group in the area.
Present at the meeting were key healthcare officials, including Dr. Vincent Bryan Viscayno from the Municipal Health Office and Public Health Nurse Madelene Joy M. Regala. These discussions centered on enhancing the local health system’s capacity to support TB patients and advance efforts to eliminate the disease within the community.
The proposed local association and patient support group aim to provide much-needed assistance to individuals affected by TB, offering both medical and emotional support as they navigate their treatment journey. TBPeople Philippines emphasized the importance of community engagement and collaboration to strengthen the overall healthcare infrastructure and ensure the effective delivery of TB care and services.
