TBpeople Philippines Strengthens Partnerships with Visits to Alfonso and General Emilio Aguinaldo Municipalities in Cavite

TBpeople Philippines visited the Regional Health Units in Alfonso, Cavite and General Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite Municipalities. These visits were aimed at introducing TBpeople Philippines, outlining their mission, and sharing the various projects and initiatives they have successfully implemented across the country.

The first stop on this engagement tour was the Regional Health Unit in Alfonso Municipality. The TBpeople Philippines team was warmly welcomed by Mayor Randy Ambojia Salamat, who introduced them to RHU Chief Doctor, Dr. Ma. Cecilia Sargento. Dr. Sargento expressed great enthusiasm for partnering with TBpeople Philippines on their upcoming Active Case Finding activity in collaboration with the Cullion Foundation. This meeting was instrumental in nurturing a strong foundation for future joint efforts in TB control and prevention within the municipality.

Following their productive visit to Alfonso, the TBpeople Philippines team proceeded to the General Emilio Aguinaldo Municipality, where they were greeted by Mayor Dennis Mojica Glean. The team’s objective remained consistent: to introduce TBpeople Philippines, elucidate their mission, and showcase the impactful projects they have spearheaded nationwide. After the formal courtesy call, the team headed directly to the RHU, where they had the honor of conducting a TB People Discipleship Orientation for the municipality’s TB Task Force team. This team comprises various associations dedicated to combating tuberculosis within the region.

The orientation session was met with high praise and appreciation. The TB Task Force team thanked TBpeople Philippines for their comprehensive presentation and their unwavering commitment to TB prevention and control. This session not only provided valuable insights but also reinforced the municipality’s resolve to actively participate in TBpeople Philippines’ initiatives.
